It seems the bill to increase the minimum wage, as a key plank in the "100 Hours" of the new Congress, is not all that it could be. There may be an exception, an exemption, if you will, for a certain territory of the United States where a key business needs low wages. Its agent in the House? Why, the Speaker of the House, Ms. Pelosi, D-CA. Can we all say, together, HYPOCRISY!
Powerline has an UPDATE with some comments from a reader who explains that there may be some exigencies that warrant exemption, but the fact still remains that the only territory exempted hosts a major employer based in San Francisco.
